Not really raids lah...... but they were just checking for leads from the hotels for the recent murder case in Geylang. Of course kaypohs when see policemen go into the hotel to make enquiries always think it is a raid in progress.
Because the case happened on a weekend..... the police also come out on weekends as have better chances to gather information from the other maids who may happen to know the deceased persons.
I only know a few uncooperative ones were brought back for further questioning.
