Sukhumvit soi 22 Thai Girl Bars
 

anyone has experience?

I've been to thailand countless times but have never stepped foot into those thai girl bars ever before cause mostly the girls fugly, old or fat. Walked past a few times in this soi 22 and saw a couple of very cute girls (in their early 20s kind). Did not step in those times as i was busy getting to somewhere else.

:confused:My question is: Are the girls in these bars available to take out for sex, any time before the bar closes? Anyone have any experience doing so?

Depends on the type of bar. Most bars don't allow girls to leave early in the evening as they are there to attract customers. When you take a girl out you will have to pay a "bar fine" for her.

Soi 22 has seen better days.... their heydays are back in the 80s & 90s when they were known as the twin of Pattaya's Soi 6. Mainly Ang Moh /BLM playground and very rare to see Asian faces in their bars.... or rather Asians are not welcomed in some bars. Yes.... in those days the Ang Moh customers will tell you to go elsewhere.

The bars there are like Stumble Inn or the Hillarys of Nana.... where they sell food and drinks. The waitresses cannot be taken out but they allow freelancers into the bars to sit with the customers.... must buy LDs if the customer want to take the FL or she will be banned from the bar.

Then there are smaller hole in the wall bars.... mostly owner operator with 1 or at most 2 employees. These bars got no kangtao and customers go there to play pool and tcss. However sometimes FLs will drop in if they see potential customers inside..... these FLs are like customers too and thr bar dun bother if you make a deal with the FLs. No need LDs or barfine.

The scene may have changed now as I dun particularly like going to that Soi so my info might he a bit outdated.

It all comes down to $$$ and possibly their chemistry with you.

They can:

- entertain you w/ connect4, pool, chat
- be taken away w/ bar fine
- be met up with discreetly after the bar closes

A lot less "immediately commercial".

When I was still a young man in Bangkok, one insisted on coming home to take care of me because I was living alone. I still remember her to this day because she would watch English movies with me and try talking to me even though she did not understand English and at that point I could not speak Thai. She noticed my fridge was just full of beer and I had no cooking utensils, so when I slept, she went out to Makro, bought a full set of cooking utensils, and I woke up to I think a 6 course meal. She even had a whole sushi platter in the fridge in case I couldn't eat Thai food.

Sadly, very improbable to encounter things like this these days...

More recently though, popping up in and around soi 22 are a lot of "mini-soapies" where it's just a shophouse converted to a nuru/soapy concept with on average 5-6 girls each.

There are, of course, still old school versions of these that also still exist there.

Seeing as how there's recently been a lot more asian (CN/KR) in the area frequenting these new mini-soapies, the bars are accordingly much more welcoming to asians in general.

A bit of soi 22 trivia: Halfway down the road, past all the soapies, there is a shop that looks like a clinic that advertises some medical whatnots. It's a straight up massage/handy place where everything neatly comes in a package.

hi bro, i've recently started to visit soi 22 more often than before. the main reason is the service there are better. and i like a place with service, and genuine people.

yes, they're out to make money off you. but if you're willing buy the service staff or girls drinks, they will start to treat you well.

the stretch i go to has 3-4 bars. it's in an alley off soi 22.

each bars are unique with their selection of girls.

i like a night of good drinks, decent music, great service, and then eventually a bonk. which usually sets you back 1.8k-3k, depending on the duration and bar.

personally, i can open a bottle of whisky, and drink from 8pm - 3am, and at the end of the night, my damage for drinks alone is about 10k baht.

of course the girls are not model-like hot, but there are decent ones; to each his own.

This soi was the most happening place in BKK before the days of NEP..... back then only Patpong was its rival and Cowboy was a newbie soi just starting to grow.

The clusters of bars and bargirls are now gone.... replaced by Makro supermart. But back then not many Asians dare to venture into that Soi as the crowd there were mainly the Angmos & BLMs who never liked others intruding into their playground.

Doesnt seem like my type of girls. I am for young girls. Saw some other bars there having young girls. Think there's a couple of bars further down soi 22 after the rocky bar area.

there's this bar after supreme bar, with young girls. and then the 2nd last one called GB bar, also young girls.

but yea, i do chill there when i'm in bkk. sometimes, some freelancers do drop by as well. if you prefer a quiet place to drink, then this area would be for you. best part is, when bored, i can hope between them. lol

i'll be there this coming thursday, for the weekend. so if you're still there, we can have a drink.

GB bar is a bit of a dive bar, keep a close eye on your bill.
